Limited studio editions
Painted by hand, never printed. Numbered, never repeated.
Some compositions are painted more than once by the same artist. We fix the number before the first canvas is started and never add to it, so each painting is signed and numbered on its certificate, for example Edition 3 of 5.

Buying original oil paintings online
Every original oil painting for sale here is painted by hand on canvas by the artist named on its page, then framed in the studio. Choose a painting and check out securely. The artist signs it, and within 5–7 days you receive a short video of the actual canvas: the front, side light across the brushwork, the signature and the frame. Approve it and it ships fully insured, door to door, in about 10–15 days. Not what you hoped for? You get a full refund before it ships.
Are these original paintings?
Yes. “Original” works exist once. Limited studio editions are painted by hand a fixed number of times, stated on the page and on the certificate, and never printed. Copies of old masters are sold separately as Masterpiece Copies (55 works) and are always labelled as reproductions.
How much does an original oil painting cost?
Most of our original oil paintings sell for between $500 and $2,500, framed, with insured delivery to the US included in the price. Size drives most of the difference: a large canvas takes the artist longer, needs a heavier frame and costs more to crate and ship. Limited studio editions cost less than one-of-a-kind originals of the same size, because the composition is painted more than once.
Choosing the right size for your wall
Above a sofa or sideboard, a painting usually looks best at about two-thirds of the furniture’s width, hung with its center around 57 inches from the floor. A single large oil painting often looks calmer than several small ones. Every studio-photographed work has an “In a room” view at true scale, and our free art advisory will mock a painting up on a photo of your own wall.
Caring for an oil painting
Hang it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, fireplaces and bathroom steam. Dust the surface now and then with a soft, dry brush; never use water or cleaning sprays on the paint. Oil paint keeps curing for months, so a faint smell or slight sheen in the first weeks is normal.
Who are the artists?
Contemporary painters working in studios across southern China, each with their own subjects: misty mountain landscapes, bird-and-flower painting, horses and tigers, water towns and quiet still lifes. Each artist has a page with all of their work, so you can follow a painter you like and commission a piece in your size.
